What We Do
Conservative Friends of the Countryside has been set up to provide a rural voice at the heart of government in Westminster. We seek to retain tried and tested land management and conservation values against ever increasing and ill informed legislative proposals. That’s not to say we oppose all change but it must be led by those with first hand experience - practicable in its application and reasonable in its implementation
Our Mission
To define the party line in land based practices relating to food, farming and conservation.
We aim to inform Members of Parliament
Instil confidence into rural voters
Provide opportunities for communication on country matters.
Encourage a considered and evidence based view of the countryside and its practices
Work with members based organisations that are experts in their field.
